    Beware of imitation Lion Safety MatchesThe sale of counterfeit goods in South Africa can give rise to both criminal and civil liability for parties that import and/or sell such goods in the trade. By accepting counterfeit goods to sell in stores, retailers run the risk of possible arrest and prosecution by the State. The owner of the intellectual property rights may also institute civil charges against retailers and importers who deal in counterfeit goods. Our Lion Safety Matches label and the “Ribbon Device” are all registered trademarks.
